Session People
The People tab tracks who plays at your session. A person doesn't need an account on this site to be listed — session admins can add anyone who plays there.
Members and Visitors
Everyone on a session's roster has a relationship to it:
- Member - This is one of their sessions. Members' tunes count toward the session's community stats, and the session appears in their "My Sessions" list.
- Visitor - They've played here, but it isn't one of their regular sessions.
Who Can See the People List
Tunes and logs are public, but people are not. The People tab and attendance records are visible only to the session's admins and to people the session has confirmed. Joining a session yourself doesn't reveal its roster — an admin confirms you first (new joiners show as "Unconfirmed" until then). This keeps who-was-where private to the people who actually play together.
Sessions can also switch people-tracking features off entirely: the members list, attendance recording, and set-starter recording are each optional, controlled by the session's admins.
Attendance
If the session records attendance, each person's row shows how many nights they've attended, and their detail sheet lists the dates. Checking people in happens right in the live logger while you log — including adding someone new who just showed up. When a session is on, checking in also updates the "On Now" indicator.
Who Started What
Sessions can record who started each set — a fun way to see who introduces which tunes. This is set in the live logger, either per set or by assigning several sets at once.
For Session Admins
Admins can, from a person's detail sheet:
- Add people - Search the session's roster or create a brand-new person record (there's deliberately no global people search — you can't browse people from other sessions)
- Confirm someone, giving them access to the people list and attendance
- Set their relationship (member or visitor)
- Archive someone who's moved on — they're hidden from the default list but their history is kept, and they still see the session as theirs
- Grant session admin to other members
