Session Logs

Session logs are records of what happened at each individual session: the date, the tunes that were played, organized into sets, and a little other info (who attended, who started each set, notes about the night).

The Logs Tab

Each session's Logs tab lists every logged date, grouped by year (or by day, for festivals). Each entry shows how many tunes were logged that night; a session that's happening right now gets a green badge. Click any date to open that night's log.

Two controls sit above the list. Logged (the default) hides dates that exist but have nothing logged yet; All brings them back — useful for finding an empty night to fill in. Festivals start on All, since their list is the schedule. The Filter by tune box autocompletes over every tune ever logged at this session; pick one and the list narrows to the nights it was played.

Creating a Log

1. Go to your session's Logs tab
2. Click Add next to the newest year
3. Pick the date (and optionally a start/end time, location, or comments)
4. You land in the new, empty log ready to add tunes

Sessions can also be set to create their instances automatically on their regular schedule, so the night's log is already waiting when you arrive.

Logging Tunes

Viewing Old Logs

Any log can be browsed by anyone — the tunes, the sets, and (for session members) who was there. Open a tune from a log to see its details, notation, and the other nights it was played. When a night is fully logged, it can be marked complete, which hides the editing controls.
